Gareth Rose

Gareth Rose brings more than 20 years of experience in the global Life Science talent landscape to his role as Managing Director of Switzerland at Discover International. Based in Zug, Switzerland, he partners with leading life sciences organizations—including top 20 pharmaceutical companies, biotech innovators, MedTech firms, scale-ups, funded R&D groups, biosimilar manufacturers, and emerging start-ups—helping them build the teams that drive meaningful impact.

Drawing on two decades of building and leading multifunctional teams and businesses, Gareth brings a uniquely practical leadership perspective to every search. He has designed and managed large-scale, diverse recruitment programs and staffing businesses. He leverages this hands-on management experience to advise clients with clarity, empathy, and real-world insight. His work spans all functions across the life sciences, flexing to the areas where clients most acutely need to feel impact. Gareth has lived across Europe, building Life Science staffing businesses in the UK, The Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland. Gareth speaks English, Welsh, and German.

Gareth is a former Pharmatimes Recruiter of the Year award winner, speaker at industry conferences, SECO license holder, served as a Board Advisor to Black Pharma (a DE&I not for profit), undertakes early career mentoring with under-represented groups, spent time with UNICEF’s child combatant programme, and partnered with SOS Children’s Villages and Save the Children in significant fundraising efforts.
