Discover International is a global life sciences recruitment and consulting firm with offices across the United States, Europe, and Latin America. We provide recruitment, staffing, and talent advisory services to clients and candidates internationally.
2. Use of Our Website
You may use our website only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
interrupt or attempt to interrupt website operations

attempt to breach security or authentication measures
use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or harvesting technologies without permission
submit false, incomplete, or misleading information

3. Candidate Submissions and GDPR Compliance
Compliance Commitment and Lawful Basis:
Discover International complies with the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and applicable global data protection laws.
When you submit personal data through our website or recruitment channels, we process that data on the following lawful bases:
Performance of a contract - Where processing is necessary to register you as a client or candidate, assess suitability for roles, provide recruitment or employment services you request, manage contractual relationships, communicate with you, and deliver our services.

Purpose Limitation:
Your personal data is processed only for the purposes for which it is provided and in connection with our recruitment, staffing, and talent advisory services, including:

We collect and process only the personal data necessary to provide our recruitment, staffing, and talent advisory services. This may include:

Roles of the Parties:
For the purposes of processing candidate data Discover International acts as the Data Controller when handling candidate information for recruitment and talent advisory services. In limited circumstances where we process data strictly on behalf of a client, we may act as a Data Processor. This will be governed by a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
Candidate Obligations:
When submitting information, you confirm that all personal data provided is accurate and up to date and that you will not upload unlawful, inappropriate, or sensitive information beyond what is relevant to the recruitment process.
Data Subject Rights:
Under GDPR and relevant privacy laws, you have the right to:
Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
Request deletion where legally permissible
Restrict or object to certain forms of processing
Request portability of your data
Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the lawful basis)

Data Retention:
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to support recruitment, staffing, and related business purposes, or to comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations. Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, candidate and recruitment-related personal data will be retained for up to five (5) years following the last meaningful contact with you, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymised. You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to legal and legitimate retention requirements.
Breach Notification:
In the unlikely event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, Discover International will notify you and the relevant supervisory authorities in accordance with legal requirements.
4. Client Inquiries and Commercial Use
Submitting a form or inquiry on our website does not create a contractual relationship.
All recruitment, consulting, and talent services require a mutually executed written agreement.
All pricing, proposals, and service scopes are subject to separate commercial terms.
5. Data Sharing and International Transfers
Data Sharing with Third Parties:
As part of our recruitment, staffing, and talent advisory services, Discover International may share personal data with third parties where necessary to provide our services, including:
Prospective employers, clients, and organisations that may offer you work or have vacancies matching your profile or preferences;
Candidates, workers, or employees, where relevant in a client context to support recruitment or staffing services;
Companies to which you apply for a vacancy or that we reasonably believe may be of interest to you in connection with employment opportunities;
Service providers that support our business operations, including IT, system administration, recruitment platforms, hosting, and other operational services;
Professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors, insurers, bankers, and consultants;
Regulators, tax authorities, and public bodies, where disclosure is required by law;
Social media platforms and other third-party platforms, where relevant to recruitment, communications, or service delivery; and
Other third parties, where sharing is necessary to provide our services and is consistent with the original purpose of collection and your reasonable expectations.

International Data Transfers:
Due to the global nature of our operations, personal data may be transferred to, accessed from, or stored in countries outside the UK, EU, or EEA.
Where personal data is transferred to a country that is the subject of a UK or EU adequacy decision, the transfer is carried out on the basis that the receiving country provides a level of data protection essentially equivalent to that under GDPR.
In such cases, except for a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), no additional transfer safeguards are required.
Where personal data is transferred to a country not covered by an adequacy decision, Discover International ensures that appropriate safeguards are put in place in accordance with the GDPR, which may include:
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or the UK Information Commissioner
Data Processing Agreements (DPA) with recipients
Supplementary technical and organisational measures, where required
