We are seeking a Senior Director, Emerging Technology & Engineering to lead the evolution of enterprise technology across Architecture, Data, Advanced Analytics, and core Engineering functions. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping the organization’s digital and technology strategy to drive competitive advantage, accelerate insights, and enhance decision-making.
This individual will oversee an integrated technology function, ensuring that systems, platforms, and capabilities are designed and delivered with scalability, innovation, and engineering excellence in mind. The role partners closely with cross-functional business and IT leaders to advance modern data and AI-driven capabilities across the enterprise.
This position follows a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Build and scale enterprise capabilities across emerging technologies, data platforms, and advanced analytics (including AI/ML and MLOps).
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define and execute technology strategy, including architecture, platform selection, data management, and governance.
Evaluate and implement new technologies that enhance data, analytics, and digital capabilities.
Advise senior leadership on technology investments and long-term innovation strategy.
Enterprise Engineering & Architecture
Establish and standardize engineering and architectural frameworks, processes, and best practices across the organization.
Lead architecture governance to ensure alignment, scalability, and quality across all solutions.
Guide architecture, engineering, and development teams to deliver forward-looking, enterprise-grade solutions.
Champion modern engineering practices including DevOps, automation, and agile delivery.
Operations, Governance & Delivery
Oversee the lifecycle of critical systems, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
Define operational standards for monitoring, documentation, and risk management to reduce system vulnerabilities and optimize cost.
Build and implement structured incident management and escalation frameworks across technology teams.
Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to ensure aligned delivery and proactive risk mitigation.
Drive change management efforts, communicating technology roadmaps and value to executive stakeholders while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across engineering, architecture, and data disciplines.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
15+ years of experience across multiple technology disciplines (e.g., architecture, data/analytics, engineering, IT operations, or program delivery).
Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies and data-driven solutions.
Proven track record leading large-scale transformation initiatives within complex, regulated environments.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or similar).
Preferred
Deep expertise in data architecture, governance, and advanced analytics platforms (e.g., Python, R, Snowflake, or similar).
Strong background in modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, DevOps, automation, observability).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership presence with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization.
Relevant certifications (e.g., cloud architecture, enterprise architecture frameworks) are a plus.
